Good as Gold
We are so excited to be in the December issue of IMAGE Magazine where our Creative and Managing Director, Gary Pillow talks about our sustainable Irish Gold story.
Every piece of this beatiful Irish jewellery collection contains a piece of pure also known as solid gold. Our Gold is ethically mined and handcrafted in Ireland. We are celebrating the rich history and culture of Ireland in each design. House of Lor jewellery takes inspiration from the natural world we all occupy, especial Irish lands. We are proud to offer the only jewellery collection in the world made using rare Irish gold in the heart of every piece representing the eternal conecction with our Irish heritage.
Behind every piece is a story. What will yours be?
Gary Pillow has been in the jewellery business, a long time. No surprise, really, it’s in his genes; his father and
grandfather before him were also Goldsmiths. His jewellery pedigree includes the design and production of the John Rocha Jewellery brand. Based in Dublin, Gary now heads up design and production for the House of Lor jewellery brand. He is passionate about the brand and has delivered beautiful designs with a unique feature – Irish Gold.
As a result of an exclusive license with the Galantas Gold Corporation, the only commercial gold mine in Ireland, in Omagh, County Tyrone. House of Lor uses Irish Gold in the design of every piece. The only jewellery company globally that can make this claim is fascinating, not to mention innovative. There is gold in them hills, after all.
The collections are predominantly Sterling Silver with Irish Gold, making the pieces affordable and on-trend. Prices start at €95 for rings up to €595.
Behind every piece is a story; the design inspiration for the collections are motivated by Ireland’s rich tapestry of history, culture, art and folklore. We particularly like the contemporary makeover the iconic Claddagh ring design has had with House of Lor. It’s one of their bestsellers.
With the Claddagh ring design making a resurgence with celebrities, think Sienna Miller, Julia Roberts & Jennifer Aniston, to mention a few, we are not surprised.
With Christmas around the corner, House of Lor has introduced some lovely sparkly pieces, perfect for the festive season’s parties and as beautiful gift ideas. Designed and crafted in Ireland, every detail from the House of Lor collection is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. In addition, it bears the hallmark of the Dublin Assay Office, ensuring its distinctly Irish provenance.
If you are looking for beautiful, Irish and unique fine jewellery that will endure well past a piece of costume jewellery, look no further. House of Lor is available at all leading jewellery retailers nationwide and the official House of Lor website houseoflor.com
