Sterling Silver and Rose Gold Drop Shamrock Pendant

Sterling Silver and Rose Irish  Gold Pendant. The 1st shamrock is rose gold from Rare Irish Gold, other shamrocks and pendant chain are made from sterling silver. The Shamrock is the national flower of Ireland. The shamrock was originally associated with the Celtic goddess Anu. The three leaves represent her as the maiden, the mother and the crone of Ireland.

Traditionally, Saint Patrick used the Shamrock to illustrate the Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity when Christianising Ireland in the 5th century. The Shamrock took nationalistic meaning when it became an emblem for various militias during the political upheaval in the late 18th century. As the Shamrock moved from a more political to aesthetic expression of Irishness, makers of fine jewellery and china began to incorporate it into their designs. You can find the Shamrock in the most beautiful handcrafted pieces of Irish Jewellery, holding the Shamrock as the centrepiece giving a distinctive Irish authentic look.

House of Lor is a unique collection of Irish Jewelry, an exclusive piece of Pure Irish Gold at every design’s heart.  Each piece has a precious amount of rare Irish rose gold woven into its heart – the same gold from deep beneath the Irish hills, which was fashioned over 2000 years ago into the artefacts now housed by the National Museum of Ireland. Irish Gold is exclusive to House of Lor under license from the Galantas Mining Corporation, based in County Tyrone.
